4 months!

I'm just a little late with this posting but the pics were taken when he was 4 months old.

This month Mason decided he would like to sleep through the night EVERY single night which makes mama very happy! He is sleeping from roughly 10 pm to 7:30 am each night. He has started "talking" more and making a real racket sometimes ;) This month we took him swimming for the first time and because of it he now likes his bath (even splashes us!). He also went to a play group this month, and though he can't play, he looked around and smiled and listened to the songs and readings of books. Mason likes playing with his toys and has started putting them all in his mouth to ease his sore gums. One of the biggest moments this month was when he sat up by himself!! What a big boy :)

Age: 4 months
Length: 62 cms
Weight: 13lbs 8 oz
Clothes: Wearing some 3 month shirts, but 3-6 fits a lot better.
Food: Lots and lots of breast milk
Hair: Blonde (eyelashes & eyebrows too)
Eyes: Blue
Other features: Long legs, pouty lips, cowlick, long eyelashes, chubby cheeks

Since I'm already two weeks into the 5th month I have to say I am enjoying it even more... he is constantly doing new things and it's so exciting!

So festive!

I got a little crazy and decorated Mason's nursery a bit for Christmas. It just looks so cute!

I added Christmas/winter books to his shelves, and got him an elf on the shelf (plush version) that we named Freddy. I found the little pillow in the Target dollar section (score!). The tree and decorations were given to me, and I purchased a baby's first Christmas stocking to celebrate! :-)

It makes me more excited seeing all the decorations in his room so why not?!

DIY Christmas Gifts

A month ago I was scanning Pinterest for some gift ideas that I could put my own spin on... and came up with 3 different ones!

The first, are mason jars (naturally), filled with manicure themed things like nail polish, remover, files, etc. I put ribbon around them and made the tags. The tags say "For Your Mistletoes", cute right?! I thought so! I gave these to the two girls who coach with me.

The second, is a way to spruce up your gift cards for the coffee lover in your family... I gave mine to my teacher advisors for our cheerleading team. The tag says "Thanks a latte for all you do, Merry Christmas!". CUTEEEE.

The third (my favourite), is a movie themed "basket" for my brother-in-law. He loves movies and anything related to them so we thought this would be a great gift for him! We used a popcorn bowl as the "basket" and filled it with these items: 2 movie tickets for our local theatre, 2 DVD's, popcorn, seasoning, chocolate/candy, and a drink. I then wrapped it with plastic wrap and tied a pretty ribbon on it. The tag will read: "We wanted to make your Christmas bright, with a movie night! Pop the popcorn and grab your snacks, sit on down and start to relax!" I hope he likes it! :)

It was fun to make these and I can't wait to find more ideas for next year's Christmas!!

Oh Christmas Tree

This year we went to cut down our Christmas tree again! It is so much fun and it's great to cut it down yourself instead of taking it out of a box and setting it up. Plus, you can't beat the smell of a real tree in your house during the holidays! This year my husband's brother and his wife and son came which made it all more special. Enjoy the pics! xo
