Christmas Parade

For the first time in a longggggg time it was actually really warm out the night of the parade! It's the first year I didn't have to stick my feet up on the dash of the car to thaw out my toes afterwards ;) It was perfect weather for Mason's first Santa Clause parade! He was asleep for the first five minutes and then really wide awake for the rest! He was amazed by the lights and sounds.

 Soft & snuggly :)

 Santa!

Candy Card

For my husband's birthday I wanted to do something creative that he would love. He has a major sweet tooth so I was inspired on Pinterest to make a candy card! I jotted down all the chocolate bars/gum I could think of that I could turn into phrases for the card. This is my result!

All of the phrases fit really well and it wasn't too hard to find all the candy items! It was a hit and he loved it!

3 Months!

I don't know where time goes, but seriously, how is Mason 3 months old!?! Time needs to S T O P. After crying every day about how old he is already, I get to enjoy all the new little things that he does day after day!

This month, Mason is laughing, carrying on "conversations", playing with a couple toys (his mobile is a new favorite!), he is drooling constantly and blowing little spit bubbles (thanks to teething), is fascinated by T.V., wakes up only ONCE through the night (Hallelujah!), and REALLLLLY likes to "stand"- I'm talking trying to stand up when I'm burping him and sometimes when he's fussy standing is the only cure! He is fighting naps and sometimes only naps an hour total ALL DAY long. This child is a busy boy and constantly wants to be looking around/playing! He has the best personality and I'm so glad he is allllll mineeeee.... well, 50% anyway, I guess I'll share with my husband ;)

Age: 3 months
Length: 61 cms
Weight: 12 lbs, 9 oz
Clothes: Wearing some 3 month clothing, but 3-6 fits a lot better
Food: Lots and lots of breast milk
Hair: Blonde (eyelashes & eyebrows too)
Eyes: Blue
Other features: Long legs, pouty lips, cowlick, long eyelashes, chubby cheeks

We are liking and using all the same favorites from the first & second month, but these are new to the list this month:

One: Bumbo Chair  This thing is great because it helps babies learn to sit up on their own, for us, it's just something new to keep him busy!

Two: Baby Einstein Mobile This is awesome, it comes with a remote, over 25 songs and ocean sounds and bright colored sea creatures that Mason loves to stare at.

We're ready for another amazing 4 weeks!

Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween! The last couple of years I've gone to parties and dressed up but this year instead of going out we took Mason around to family & friends to show off his costume!

Mason was........... YODA!  He got spoiled on Halloween, some clothing, a new toy, wipes & cream... and treats... that we are totally eating for him. Yay!

Happy FIRST Halloween Mason!

Ahhh I can't take the cuteness.

I Graduated!!

It only took seven years of balancing a job and school, but I finally got my Bachelor of Arts in Sport & Exercise Psychology!! Yahoo! I'm much closer to my final career as a teacher now...only 11 months to go if I get into the program I am hoping for!

I attended the graduation ceremony the school held and then celebrated with family and friends at dinner afterwards. It was a great day! :)

Mason's little suit gets me every time.

Birth Shadowbox

I wanted a way to preserve some of Mason's items from the hospital when he was born so I decided to put them into a shadow box frame and hang it on his nursery wall.

I used his first blanket in the hospital as the background in the frame and added all his birth items. I included the information card from the side of his hospital bed, the hat he first wore, a picture of him a couple of hours after he was born (wearing the hat), both of our hospital bracelets, and his heartbeat printout that a kind nurse gave me.

I used a hot glue gun and glued everything on, voila!
